Here are just a few of the many fun annual events that will take place in the lively and exciting community of Tysons Corner, Virginia this year:

For a more active challenge that the whole family can enjoy, sign up for the Tysons Chamber Charity 5K. It is an annual 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk that benefits a local non-profit. The race will be on Sunday, April 26, 2016. It starts and finishes at Tysons Mall, in the Bloomingdale's parking lot. Racers will get giveaway bags and be entered into a raffle. For me details about the 2016 race and to sign up, go to the website.

Discover more about Korean Culture at the 14th Annual KORUS Festival. The festival will be held in September at the Tysons Corner Plaza. All aspects of Korean culture will be on display, including food, music, dress, and crafts. It is an excellent opportunity to get immersed in this fascinating culture. Get details on the Facebook page.

If you are looking for a great way to celebrate the changing of the seasons, check out the annual Tysons Fall Harvest Festival. Taking place in October every year at the Lerner Town Square in Tysons II, the Festival features a ton of kid-friendly attractions, like a hay pyramid, petting zoo, bouncy houses, pumpkin bowling, hay maze, pony rides, and a candy walk. The Festival will also offer some of Virginia’s best wines and craft beers for the adults. Plus, it gives back, because a portion of all proceeds will go to the Spirit of Hope Children’s Foundation. Dates for 2016 haven’t been posted yet, but watch here for more information later in the year.

To kick off the holiday season, bring the whole family to the Tysons Corner Tree Lighting Ceremony in late November. Held on the Plaza, this exciting event will feature local celebrities and a big-name concert, and of course a beautiful Christmas tree. At the end of the show, Santa Clause himself will make an appearance!

For a festive and glamorous evening, attend the 29th Annual Yuletide Ball Championships in late December. Last year’s Championship featured “DANCING WITH THE STARS” CHAMPION PRO Karina Smirnoff and Slavik Kryklyvyy. At this classy holiday event, you will be served an elegant 4 course dinner, treated to a Champagne toast, and enjoy a dancing show late into the night. It will be held at the Sheraton Premiere, and tickets are $250 per person. By tickets or find out more here.
